ADHD Medication Prescription Process Streamlined
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

The Drug Enforcement Administration (FDA) is now allowing doctors to write up to three one-month prescriptions for ADHD medications during one office visit. Previously, doctors were allowed to write only one prescription per visit. The prescriptions still have to be filled on different dates, but this will streamline the process of obtaining prescriptions.

Being able to get my prescription for a 3 month supply of dexadrene through my mail order pharmacy has been a great help. Before this, I was sometimes sent to 3 different pharmacies in order to fill my script.Even if I went to the same pharmacy, there was never a guarantee it would be there the next time I went. Sometimes I waited up to two weeks, and then was told I couldn't fill it again until a month later even though they had put me behind by 2 weeks. Even now, the mail order people sometimes take over 2 weeks to fill it, so that I still have to go without many days just because of waiting. This is truely a strange predicament to be in.
