Sleeping in on the Weekends Is a Good Thing
Take some extra time to lie in bed on the weekends. It’ll do your body and mind some good come Monday morning.
According to a new study published in the journal Sleep, just one morning spent sleeping in is all that’s needed to replenish your brain and improve alertness and attention span.
But if you think that this gives you carte blanche to stay up partying the weekend away, think again. Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania who conducted the study say doing so significantly reduces your performance at work the following week.
So, if you’re reading this and feeling a little bleary-eyed, start planning now for extra time in the sack this weekend (sans fiesta!).
