The last week has been quite busy. We've been spring cleaning and preparing for Easter. Easter dinner came and went and I did fine. My family traditionally cooks big dinners and I managed to eat only one plate! I actually got full a lot quicker than expected; however, I cannot say the same for my
drinking habits. That sweet tea crept in somehow and had a couple of cups full. I wonder does it count if I had a slice of lemon in each.
Last week's weigh in was no surprise. I didn't lose or gain any weight, just steadily maintaining. I was a little scared when stepping on the scale because I have been snacking a lot this past week. I have been craving ice-cold Coke and chocolate for some reason. And no, I am not pregnant, just greedy.
Where do cravings come from anyway? Some weeks I can go without having any type of craving and then others I can't stop myself. There's this gourmet Belgian chocolate location that I found and I have found myself in there every other day. The chocolate just melts in your mouth. I had to stop myself because I was really getting carried away. Therefore, this week I am trying to cut back on many items so that I can reach my goal weight. Sometimes it just seems so unobtainable even though I only have a few pounds to go. I also haven't made it to the gym this week and I am supposed to weigh in with Sega, the trainer, in a couple of days.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot; I did a 5K walk last weekend also. That was a great motivator. It was like nothing to walk it. Now if you would have put me in the same place a year ago, I might not have felt the same way. It was fun. My husband and I are considering joining others just to get the exercise.
I look forward to next week and hoping to be few pounds lighter.
