Treating Herpes Outbreaks
New research has shown that treating outbreaks with one day of Famvir (1 gram twice a day) is effective. This shortened course of treatment makes things much more convenient for those who chose to treat outbreaks only vs. daily therapy. I think it is important to remember that treating outbreaks, however, does nothing to impact viral shedding between outbreaks, so this new dosing schedule needs to be viewed with an awareness of that concept.
Patients who are not in relationships with uninfected people, whose partner is already infected with the same type, or who are not concerned about the frequency of recurrences will find this new option convenient and easy.

is there a web site that has the names of people who have a confirmed case of std's of only herpes?
One of my employees just told me that they have herpes. I was wondering if they use the bathroom while they have an outbreak or in the stages of recovering, will it be contagious? Can you get it from a toliet seat?
I am 18 years old and I have been dating this guy for almost 5 years. We have broken up a few times and today I found out that during this time he was infected by herpes in the mouth and on the penis. We have not had sex. But we have kissed alot and when we were playing around a few days ago he bit me. When he did he broke skin on me and made me bleed also busting open his lip causing him to bleed. When our blood mixes like that where does the disease go and is there anyway to get ride of it once it is in your blood?
