HEALTHY FOOD ISN'T GOING TO DO ANY ONE ANY GOOD IF NO ONE IS EATING IT--IT HAS TO TASTE GREAT! [Recipe Doctor principle #1]

You see, here's the thing...I love food too! And yes, I am a Registered Dietitian with a masters from UC Berkeley in nutrition...but I guess you could say I'm a dietitian with a twist...a twist of reality! I know what it is like to not be naturally thin and have the fat gene on both sides of the family tree. I know what it is like to cook for a family of four and work full time. I know that there are some of us women who do everything right (eat when we are hungry and stop when we are comfortable, make healthy food choices most of the time, and exercise an hour everyday) and are still considered "overweight" by those darn BMI tables and by the media.

"FIT" and "HEALTHY" (AND QUITE FRANKLY "BEAUTY") COMES IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES.
[Recipe Doctor principle #2]

We would all be much better off focusing on health and happiness, instead of dress sizes or numbers on a scale (which by the way I don't even have in my house).

EAT AND EXERCISE FOR THE HEALTH OF IT...AND LET THE POUNDS FALL WHERE THEY MAY.
[Recipe Doctor principle #3]

Weight isn't a true indicator of health, being physically fit is. Get moving and forget the scale. You'll feel better and that's what is most important.
