I am a 16 year-old guy who has lost 55 pounds in 6 months! How? I simply had A LOT of willpower and the need to feel better about myself. After seeing other teens my age, learning about the GREAT benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle, and making better food choices, I started my diet. I cut out the bad stuff- period('cold turkey') and I put in the good stuff. One of my favortie meals consists of a boneless, grilled chicken breast and steamed broccoli with sweet tea (So, I kept sweet tea in my diet, but it didnt hurt me!) My diet is full of whole grains, lean meat, and LOTS and LOTS of VEGGIES! The MAJOR thing to do is Exercise! I would have never lost the amount of weight I did if I hadn;t started exercising. Did I enjoy it at first? NO!! But, I have become addicted to it(in a good way). I run at least 2-3 miles a day, 20 minutes of cycling, weight lifting, and crunches. Trust me, it's a lot quicker than you think- and you will definetly reap the benefits!! People look at me and are amazed. More people are attracted to me, I feel better about myself, and MOST important- I have probably added 10 years to my life! My coach may not like it because he no longer has the 235 pound lineman anymore, but he DOES have a solid 180 pound lean, mean machine. So, take my advice, go the extra mile and improve your health because as you age, that's all you have left!
