Organic Never Tasted So Good!
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Heaven... I'm in heaven... and it's all because of my Moonstruck Chocolate delivery today!

One of my favorite chocolate companies, Moonstruck Chocolate Co. from Portland, Oregon, just launched an organic collection of truffles and "organic" has never tasted so good.

Their 9-piece Organic Truffle Collection includes nine different bites of perfection - a Chocolate Orange French Silk Mousse truffle, a Berry-Licious Truffle, Peanut Butter Crisp Praline (my daughter's favorite), and more!

I've got to say the Moccarina Butter Cream truffle in the collection was one of the most amazing chocolates I've ever tasted! Truly, my taste buds were completely captivated and I took little bites so this one truffle could last as long as possible.

If you live in:
  • Portland, Oregon
  • Beaverton, Oregon
  • Lake Oswego, Oregon
  • San Francisco, California
  • Walnut Creek, California
  • Champaign, Illinois
  • Chicago, Illinois
You are in luck because these cities have Moonstruck Cafes and you can physically behold this artisan chocolate company.

For the rest of us, these award-winning chocolates are sold through select gourmet food retailers across the country, by mail order (800-557-6666) or on the Internet at www.moonstruckchocolate.com/.

I know Elaine loves Moonstruck and I respect that. I don't want to suggest that anyone reading this comment should boycott Moonstruck. If you like them, order and enjoy. I do however want to tell you why I don't love them.

I ordered what I thought was dark chocolate for my mom for Mother's Day a couple of years ago. It wasn't. When I complained to Moonstruck about their misleading website descriptions they told me "we don't have any control over what is on the website".

I didn't even ask for my money back, I just wanted them to know that I was disappointed - so was my mom - and encourage them to do a better job on their website.

Based on their customer service and the fact that they don't seem to stand by their website, I will not order from them again or purchase their chocolate in stores.

Good thing there are lots of really good chocolatiers out there.

Enjoy your chocolate, Elaine.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with Moonstruck. I live near Portland, Oregon and am lucky to have several Moonstruck cafes near me, as well as Moonstruck products available in lots of stores. I love their chocolates and have never had a bad experience with any of their employees. I hope you just hit a bad apple on a bad day and will give them another chance.

What I love about Moonstruck is that it completely satisfies my taste for chocolate. I can savor a small piece of Moonstruck and be so much more satisfied than I am with lots of most any other chocolate.

Elaine, the best truffle is the Mayan Truffle! It is dark chocolate with a touch of cinnamon. So incredibly good.

While you can't taste my favorite - their extraordinary milkshakes - except in the cafes, your should try their organic double dark chocolate hot cocoa mix. It is bliss! I think you can order it online. And now I think it's time for a cup of that hot cocoa...good night.
