Pumpkin Spice Granola Bars

Kashi TLC Crunchy Granola Bars have a flavor you don’t often see or expect in a granola bar—Pumpkin Spice Flax.

I look for any bars I buy to have close to 5 grams of fiber and at least 5 grams of protein. I also hope that it has less than 8 grams or less of sugar. These bars have all this, plus great flavor.

The first five ingredients are whole grain oats, evaporated cane juice crystals, rolled whole grain blend (hard red wheat, oats, rye, triticale, barley), expeller pressed canola oil, soy protein isolate.

So it looks like most of the fiber is from oats (always good), the protein from whole grains and soy, the fat is mainly from canola oil, and the sugar from evaporated cane juice.

Nutrition Information: per 2 crunchy bars (1 packet)

170 calories, 6 g protein, 25 g carbohydrate (8 g sugar), 6 g fat, 1 g saturated fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 4 g fiber, 135 mg sodium.

I really enjoyed the fall-like flavor of these granola bars and since a serving is two crunchy bars, it seemed easier to slow down and enjoy this serving.

If you have tried a good breakfast or granola bar lately, tell us about it.
