Proper Body Mechanics
This is just a reminder to always use proper body mechanics when moving, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, etc. When lifting, be sure to squat down, bring item close to your body, lift with your legs and maintain good posture. If something is too heavy to lift, don't lift it. It isn't worth it.
Avoid bending over to place items on the ground. Instead of bending at the waist, bend your knees and use your legs - not your back. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Moving is one of the hardest things on your body. There is just no way to prepare your body for moving. You only do it every once in a while, and it's intense...even if you are only packing and not lifting. But if you must...proper body mechanics and even a back support can save the day. I tell patients to ice before and after also. In fact, icing before and after any activity that you think could make you sore is wise.
I am currently taking tpoomax for my spina bifida or as they are calling it now tarlov cysts, and it was working somewhat but, now it seems to not be lasting through the night like it was so i am only getting 2 or 3 hours of sleep a night and then its tossing and turning and crying with pain. I like the topamax because it does'nt give me the hangover headache but, my question is can I increase it? I am on 50 mg. 2 times daily does it go up from there?
