Sing a Song of Pregnancy....

Feeling more Grinch-like than merry now that the holiday season is here?

Maybe listening to a snippet from singer/songwriter Nancy White's own ode to being pregnant during the holiday season would help cheer you up.

"It's So Chic to Be Pregnant at Christmas" talks about the joys of shopping, dealing with belly-pats in stores, and being the only person who's sober at a holiday bash.

The song originated on her 1991 CD Momnipotent (available through Amazon.com), and was also featured on the rather bizarre 1995 CDDr. Demento Holidays in Dementia CD.

You can listen to about 30 seconds of the song here.

Who knows? It might inspire you to write your own song about the best and worst things about being pregnant during the holiday season -- or at any other time of year. Feel free to post any inspiring stanzas below -- or to let me know what you're up to, if you're a mother-songwriter, a mother-poet, etc.
