Intuition: Do You Trust Your Vibes?

Sometimes it seems like the more technologically advanced we become and the more fast-paced our lives are, the more something else seems to emerge in the culture: something that’s a little slower, a little more subtle.

For instance, while I’m not ready to live off the grid anytime soon, I can’t help but notice that the subject of intuition seems to have risen sharply in popularity over the last 10 years or so. In bookstores, on newsstands, on TV shows; Jewel even had a top 10 song about it. Bottom line is that people are fascinated with the subject.

Case in point: The latest issue of O Magazine is devoted to intuition, cover and all. It’s even one of the things that Oprah knows for sure. She’s also recently featured a medical intuitive on Miracle Detectives, which airs on OWN.

Listening to and trusting that little voice inside is apparently an effective and powerful way of navigating your life — sort of like Google Maps for your soul or something.

I’ll admit, I’ve had some freaky inner knowings before that have made me want to tune into that part of myself more and more in the last few years — even if it’s just paying attention to how I feel when I meet a new person, for instance.

I figure what do I have to lose? Some say it just comes down to following your heart.
