Your WebMD Message Boards -- Bigger, Badder, Better
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

If you like your message boards now, you're going to LOVE the upgraded version!

The look is a bit different from what we have now. It may take a little getting used to, but the boards work essentially the same...EXCEPT you now have awesome new tools to complete your WebMD 2.0 experience.

Look below to get a glimpse of what your new message boards will look like when you click in!

You'll also notice that the board toppers are just a little different. Be sure to keep up with the new related links box. This will change out as we have updated information to share with you.

Next, we'll check out a thread and examine the new features we find there.

The current threads are hard to keep up with as you must keep scrolling down to find current posts or something you might have missed that you would like to respond to. I would hope that the new format would pop a thread to the top as it receives a posting. In this way threads will continue to be posted to and not get lost on the 2nd or 3rd page. I think those with questions would get alot more help and info this way also.

Hi!

At this time we won't have that feature, but I'm jotting down all of the member suggestions we get on the blog and passing them along to management.

If we can't get to those features now, we may be able to take them into consideration for future releases.

So, this new change will be made on all the boards, not just the community news, right? You'll need to pardon me....I'm a head injured BLONDE...need I say more.

And where would I find past comments(?), like the one I made yesterday....I came here and those posted comments were gone.

The new changes are horrible IMHO. My main board is talking about quitting, not just a few people but most of us quitting WebMd and moving our group to another site. We all think you guys are making a big mistake but you're not at all interested in listening to us. The last round of "improvements" made the boards worse and we all see the same thing about to happen again. We keep trying to tell you we don't like the changes and you just keep shoving them down our throats. I never thought I'd say this but I'm starting to hate WebMd.

spokn4,

I think you'll find your other comments on other posts on this blog. Just click into each blog post's comment section to find them.

The changes will be to our message boards, not our blogs. Do you currently post in any of our board communities?

To anonymous from 2:07 p.m. --

I am sorry to hear that you feel the new changes will be horrible. I hope you'll at least keep an open mind until you get to play with the functionality a bit.

I assure you that our staff is going to take member comments and suggestions into consideration and try to make changes that will benefit everyone. However, that doesn't mean that we'll make every change suggested.

In a few days, we'll be putting up a test board so that everyone can play with some of the features and see how things are going to work.

The board probably won't work EXACTLY the same, but it will give folks a good idea of what's coming.

We realize change is hard, but websites just can't stay stagnant. We must grow and change as the Web grows and changes.

We hope you'll give it a chance.

Take care,
Leona

The new community features haven't launched yet. This blog is simply a preview of what's to come.

This preview is not good. Now I cannot even sign in and even to other pages and do not see a darn thing.

Having to look all over and on down a page to see what goes is rediculous. I have been here for over 4 years and it's just fine the way it is. Everyone gets used to one way and here it goes...another.

Can you be specific as to what's happening to you? What URL are you accessing? When you say you can't sign in, where are you trying to sign in?

If you're having issues, we want to help, but we're going to need some information from you to allow us to do that.

Write to webmdcommunity@webmd.net and provide the information above. Someone will jump in there to help you troubleshoot.
