I've tried to contact staff before about this, but the boards -- especially the Pregnancy After Loss board -- have been incredibly unreliable since the site update a few months ago. I love the community, but it is more than frustrating that at least once every day or two, the board makes it impossible to post comments or messages -- sometimes for hours or even days. These are women asking eachother for support, advice, and help -- sometimes in serious and emotional situations where they are worried about their babies. A reliable system is just crucial -- and what kills me is that the system you had before was great! Nothing about the new system is better. Nothing.
I agree with gaby! What's the point in visiting WebMD and asking the experts for their advice if they never answer our questions? I am not looking for an answer to eliminate going to see a doctor. I want some type of direction or reinsurrance that what I know is right. I want to stop worrying and continue in the right direction. If not go in a different direction. I have been to alot of doctors the last 2 years and some have treated me unprofessionally.
Some doctors have given me medical terms on my condition and my the time I am done and want to ask him questions I am so upset I forget to ask him most of everything I wanted to ask him. I have still have no ideal how sick I am. I am on so many medications now I feel like my parents right before they passed. I am not supposed to feel this way at my age. It's like no one wants to help me and I have been pushed aside to died. My grown child had an accident and was overcomed by the rare disease we both have. He was pushed aside to died. If I did not have grandchilden I would probably not care. However, I do have 2 little ones. A little support from someone would feel good.
Hi anonymous,
I'm sorry you haven't gotten the answers or support you were looking for. We do try to have our experts answer as many questions as we can, but it's true that sometimes they don't get to your specific question. Here are a couple of suggestions that might help make your experience better:
1) Try one of the support groups in our message board community. The members in our community are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive -- they'll make you feel right at home.
2) If you're posting questions in the blog comments, it's unlikely that an expert will respond there. Generally the message boards are the place for questions -- the experts' blog posts are intended to cover more general topics of interest to a lot of people.
We really appreciate hearing your feedback! We do hear it and are planning some changes in 2008 specifically along the lines of what you're talking about here.
Best regards,
Kaytie
