Senator Edward Kennedy Hospitalized - Updated
UPDATE 1:45PM: Boston.com reports that Senator Kennedy had a seizure this morning, and another seizure on the way to the hospital. Here is more information about types of seizures and possible causes.
Senator Edward Kennedy was hospitalized early this morning with apparent symptoms of a stroke and remains under evaluation at this time at Massachusetts General Hospital.
In October, Senator Kennedy underwent surgery to repair blockage in his carotid artery, discovered during a routine examination for his chronic back pain. The repair was done as a measure to prevent stroke.
Kennedy, age 76, currently serves as chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. He has recently been on the campaign trail for Senator Barack Obama.
