Ask Questions About Bipolar Disorder
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Hi dedicated WebMD fans!

Do you or a loved one have bipolar disorder? Would you be interested in participating in a phone or video interview with WebMD about bipolar disorder? If so, just send an email to webmdcommunity@webmd.net and include a little of your story and any questions you would like to ask.

Be sure to provide your full name, your location (city and state,) and the best way for the WebMD staff to get in touch with you to follow up. (If you'd rather not use your real name for the interview, that's perfectly fine.)

Please do NOT post any of your personal information on this blog.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Both my mother and I have been diagnosed with Bipolar..we live together because my father passed away and my mother refuses to continue with life. It's very very hard to deal with and now that money is gone and she won't work to help support the house it is getting worse. We both take Zoloft but that doesn't work when she doesn't take hers on a regular basis. I have sent her to crisis ward twice. What else can I do?

I have a question.. I really want to understand BiPolar Disorder more.. I know someone that has this and they also have other drug addictions.. are they addicted to drugs because they are bipolar? or are the two things not related?

Thank you both for posting your comments. I'd like to suggest that you join our Bipolar Support Group message board here at WebMD to connect with other members who can share their own experiences with you.

I'm just wondering about something really weird. My father works all day and sweat allot. He's constantly drinking coke at work, and even at home before he goes to sleep. I would think he have a hard time sleeping after drinking so much caffeine, however he is sleeping just fine. I'm worried about the amount of caffeine he's consuming. What should I do? I tell him to go to the doctor to check it out, and he's just says "I'm fine." Whats all the side affect of constantly consuming caffeine?

Hello - does one need to already have a diagnosis to participate? I have wondered recently if I do indeed have bipolar disorder but haven't seen a psychologist or mental health professional to be tested or diagnosed.
