Move Over, Thin Mints: There’s a New Girl Scout Cookie in Town

By Brianne Moore

It’s time to place those orders for Girl Scout Cookies, and in honor of 100 years of scouting, there’s a new flavor to choose: Savannah Smiles. This lemony, sugar-dusted cookie promises to deliver bursts of flavor—but make sure you don’t go too crazy once you get your box. Five cookies contain 140 calories, 45 calories from fat, 5 grams of fat, 1.5 grams of saturated fat and 125mg of sodium. Still, as far as cookies go, that’s not too bad. Savannah Smiles actually have a relatively low fat and calorie content for the serving size, compared with other Girl Scout cookies (they are a bit higher in sodium, however).

Feel free to indulge a bit—as long as it’s in moderation!
